Basketball
Our program is designed for 5th-12th graders, both girls and boys. The season will begin in October and end in February with a possible end of season tournament in March.

Ages & Expectations
Grade levels: 6th-12th
EXPECTATIONS
Commitment level is high. Our program should not be considered recreational. Regular attendance at practice is expected and playing time will be based upon it.
When & Where
Basketball runs from October to February. With a possible end-of-season tournament in March.
All practices and home games are located at Legacy Courts, 1850 General George Patton Drive, Franklin.

Sport registration costs include:

Uniforms are not included in the registration costs.
Uniforms are available in our Team Shop for players to purchase after registration.
Practices & Games
Teams & Practice Schedules:
- MS JV Boys (M, T, Th 3:30 - 5pm)
- MS Varsity Boys (M, T, Th, F 3:30-5pm)
- HS JV Boys (M, T, Th 5:30-7:30pm)
- HS Varsity Boys (M - F 5:30-7:30pm)
- HS Varsity Girls (M, T, Th 5-7pm)
MS & HS JV team seasons vary by season, but can expect to play ~ 10-15 games.
MS & HS Varsity compete in our TSIAA Conference. Seasons consist of 20-30 games, but will likely change season by season.
Extra Costs
Beyond registration fees, expect travel expenses for away games including admissions/gate fees, and the cost of a practice jersey and warm-up shirt.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be an FCS or TCS student to play for FCS?
Yes, all student-athletes must be registered with Franklin Classical School or our homeschool umbrella program, The Comenius School. You may attend a tutorial, but the homeschool umbrella must be TCS. TCS umbrella fees do not apply to sport registration fees.
Is there a volunteer requirement?
Yes, FCS Athletics thrives on the generosity of parent volunteers. Families should expect to give between 6-8 hours per sport per season to volunteer for tasks such as admissions table, stats, scoreboard/game clock, live stream, etc.
